Covid-19 update on 2 November: 126 new community cases today
ジャシンダ・アーダーン首相とアシュリー・ブルームフィールド保健局長は、ニュージーランドのCOVID-19の見通しについてバラ色の絵を描いています。これは、高いワクチン接種率がその価値を証明し始め、国が今後数週間で、自由の拡大に向けて順調に進んでいるためです。

アーダーン首相は、ワクチン接種と非ワクチン接種の社会的結束について、心配しているかどうかの質問に対しては、「分断」が生じない世界を見つけるのは難しいと述べています。
一方11/2、オークランドの高齢者ケア施設で、さらに2人のスタッフが、Covid-19の検査で陽性となり、これにより、アクティブなケースの総数は12件となりました。

The Prime Minister and Director-General of Health have painted a rosy picture of New Zealand’s COVID-19 outlook, as high vaccination rates begin proving their worth and the country tracks well towards increased freedoms in the coming weeks.
While case numbers are increasing, hospitalisations are not increasing at the same rate, and importantly number of people needing ICU has remained low, he says.
Most case are among the unvaccinated, as well as hospitalisation. Dr Bloomfield says the protection vaccines offer does “remain really high”, even though those who are vaccinated can still get COVID.
He told reporters that while case numbers are at higher levels than ever, total hospitalisations of people who have contracted Delta are growing at a much-reduced rate.
“In fact, a number of those people in hospital are in hospital for reasons other than COVID-19, but they happen to have a diagnosis of COVID-19 as well,” he said. “Importantly, the number of people receiving ICU or HDU-level care is really quite low.”
Dr Bloomfield says the low death rate throughout the Delta outbreak reflects vaccination status, the help of treatments like oxygen, and the young age of cases, with only 22 of last week’s cases over 65.
Two more staff members at Edmonton Meadows care home in Henderson have now tested positive for Covid-19. That brings the total number of active cases there to 12.
She says the simple message is if you want to be able to do things, then you need to get vaccinated soon, especially if you want to over summer.
Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern was also positive about our COVID-19 status, telling Kiwis there’s no need to be afraid of the virus
and vowing to have digital vaccine certificates ready for use by the end of the month.On whether she’s worried about social cohesion of vaccinated versus unvaccinated, Ardern says it’s hard to find anywhere in the world that hasn’t come “against that friction”.
